Allied Play Day
Overview
BFHA members volunteer their time at BFHA's annual high school Allied Play Day.
The Baltimore Field Hockey Association (BFHA) holds an annual high school play day - Allied Play Day. In early May, BFHA sends invitations to the coaches/Athletic Directors of high schools in the Baltimore Metropolitan area as well as surrounding counties.
This play day is provided to give officials a chance to refine their skills and gives teams time to practice against true competition before their Fall hockey season begins. Each team plays three games during their session. Officials volunteer their time for the play day.

The 2009 Allied Play Day was held the weekend before Labor Day, on Saturday, August, 22nd at Church Lane Elementary. The Play day ran from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each school played three games 27 minutes in length. All three games were played during a morning, early afternoon, or late afternoon session. The fee is generally $35.00 for one team and $60.00 for two teams, Varsity and JV.
