  • Please clean up any trash and make sure you're "team camp" area is clean before leaving for the day. It makes it much easier on BFHA after all the games are over. Use the Recycling Bins!
  • BFHA will have a food table with various snacks/drinks. So please stop by! Just remember that only water is allowed in the gym.
  • For any inclement weather issues/concerns, please call the BFHA hotline at 410-558-BFHA. This weekend looks good, fingers crossed!
  • Please respect the umpires. We want all teams to be competitive but still have fun at the same time. If you have any issues or problems, please see any BFHA Tournament Committee Member at the head table at anytime throughout the day. Once you sign the score sheet, that’s it, so make sure it’s correct.
  • If you have not sent TEAM ROSTERS ahead of time, please bring them with you on Sunday. Team Rosters must be finalized and submitted before the 1st game is played.
  • The tournament set up (cages, boards, lines, etc.) are being broken down immediately following the tournament conclusion. We hope your team will help with the break-down and clean up. It goes much faster with more helpers!

Format

Two divisions; 1 mixed, 1 women’s, with ten teams per division. First come first served. Format will include pool play and crossover matches. The mixed division will have 2 men on the court at one time, not counting the goalie. Games will be 25 minutes running time – no half time.

All games will be played 6 vs. 6 following USFHA rules. Please also see this experimental rule that is in effect for the tournament.

3 indoor courts at C.C.B.C. Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. Baltimore MD 21221

Team Fee

$325 per team (plus a separate $50 check for forfeit fee – this will be returned if your team does not forfeit any games). Please make checks out to BFHA.

Requirements

  • All participants must be 18 years of age and older.
  • Indoor sticks are required.
  • All participants must be USFHA members. If anyone is not currently a member, please go to www.usfieldhockey.com to sign up online.

Registration

To reserve a spot for your team, please complete and return the attached Registration Form along with a $325 registration fee and $50 forfeit fee (separate checks, please) to the address shown. Registrations will not be accepted over the phone or via e-mail. Teams will be accepted in the order which registrations are received.

Deadline

All registration forms and fees must be submitted to the address below by January 20th, 2012. However, there are a limited number of spots available so to guarantee your team a spot, please send in your registration and fee as soon as possible!

Team Roster

All teams must submit a final roster by January 29th, 2012. Am emailed roster is preferred.

Cancellations

If your team needs to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued if made in writing prior to January 23rd, 2012. No refunds will be granted after the January 23rd deadline.

Inclement Weather

In the case of inclement weather the weekend of the tournament, please call our hotline at 410-558-BFHA to check on the status of the tournament. If the tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather, partial refunds will be returned.

2011 Adult Mixed and Women’s Indoor Tournament Wrap Up

Baltimore Field Hockey Association held its annual Adult Mixed and Women’s Indoor Field Hockey Tournament Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at CCBC Essex in Baltimore, Maryland.

Format: Two divisions; 1 mixed, 1 women’s, with ten teams per division.  First come first served.  Format includes pool play and crossover matches.  The mixed division has 2 men on the court at one time, not counting the goalie.   Games are 25 minutes running time – no half time.  All games are played 6 vs. 6 following the FIH Rules of Indoor Hockey.

  • Adult Mixed Division: Bawlmer Hons defeated ECM 5-0 for the Championship.

  • Adult Women's Division:  Team Disco (Winner Poll A) defeated ECM  3-2 for the Championship.
