Fundraising
Overview
BFHA members and friends attend an Orioles game; selling tickets to several games was a BFHA fundraiser.
The Baltimore Field Hockey Association (BFHA) conducts a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year. BFHA is a volunteer organization so we rely on our members participating in fundraisers to help raise money to cover the cost of operations.
BFHA uses the money gained from fundraisers for the good of BFHA members, including purchasing new indoor and outdoor cages for BFHA league and tournament use, reducing league and tournament fees where we can to keep the costs down for members, uniforms for tournament, etc.
Past fundraisers have included guest bartending, car washes, manning the food table at tournaments, selling BFHA gear including sweatshirts, selling entertainment books, selling tickets to (and getting to attend) Orioles games and most recently, working Ravens' games.

BFHA Needs Sponsors!

In order to help with the costs, sponsors from local businesses and referrals from BFHA friends and family are invited to promote their businesses while supporting BFHA field hockey association tournaments.
If you or someone you know might be interested in helping support BFHA by promoting a business or by making a donation, please contact Jenny Hughes to learn how you can become a sponsor and support BFHA. Thanks for your support!
Other BFHA Fundraising Events
Ravens Games
The 2008 and 2009 Fall BFHA fundraiser involved working a Ravens game. This required participants to arrive at the stadium in the morning prior to game time. Groups are deployed to different parts of the stadium to give out fliers (last year it was a team poster) for an hour or so as fans come into the stadium. Usually after that we are sent to do security (which means we get to watch the game inside the stands!) It is about 4-6 hours of work and BFHA earns an hourly wage. Last year we had a lot of fun. We received free parking and a shuttle to/from stadium. We also get food vouchers and food is 1/2 price.
