SUMMER LEAGUE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTION: Do I need to organize my own team?

No. You will be placed on one of four teams for the summer league. Teams typically have 23-25 people per team. This allows for the summer heat, players that are on vacation and possible injuries that may occur.

QUESTION: How are players placed on teams?

Players are organized into four teams using a collection of mathematical calculations. We flip a coin!
ACTUALLY, we try to organize new and returning players. We also take into consideration that people want to have a friend or two on their team. Our last area of consideration is playing experience as well as level of experience.

QUESTION: How many games are played every evening?

With four organized teams, there are three games every evening. The games are 25-30 minutes in length to allow for field set-up and tear down. The last evening of play we have two full length games and play for a summer league “champion.”

QUESTION: What is the level of competition?

As an established program in the Baltimore region, the BFHA has a significant following. Our players range in age from high school graduates to veteran players in their late 30’s. We are a co-ed organization with male players as well as female players. The level of competition is focused but not overwhelming.
