Play for the Cure

2009 Play for the Cure

The Susan G. Komen Foundation sponsors the annual Race for the Cure that a number of BFHA members participate in. In 2009, the Baltimore Field Hockey Association decided to sponsor a 'Play for the Cure' day during Fall Club Hockey.

Players showed their support by wearing pink. For every goal scored, BFHA donated $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We raised over $200!

BFHA also encouraged its players to take part in the October 18 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as part of the BFHA team.

Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.

Thank you to all BFHA members that showed their support of this important cause!
